Dear Friends and Family,

We have decided to start a blog to keep you informed and also to help us remember the wonderful journey we are on. As of today we are set to take our first trip to Moscow, Russia on February 23rd. We accepted the referral of a two year old girl and have no other information about her.
We need your prayers and your support means everything to us!

Going to Moscow

We are getting ready to go and the dining room table is fulled with the wonderful donations from our church. We leave Saturday and arrive Sunday. Monday we have the day to sightsee. Tuesday we have an appointment with the Ministry of Education to accept our referral and we get to see her Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday we fly home. I was a little disappointed that we only spend two days with her, but it also gives us a full day to see Moscow.

I did a little research on Russian Traditions and superstitions. They say "If you wear a shirt backwards, you will become acquainted with someone new."( if you don't beleive me, go to Wikipedia ) You might not get past airport security, but I think this superstition is fitting to the occasion.
